Birkleigh Foreman is a Mid-West girl who grew up playing sports since the age of 4. Her background is in soccer, cross-country, tennis and cheerleading but once she hit college, she became addicted to weight training. Post college, after trying her hand at acting in Los Angeles, Birkleigh chose to travel the world for a year on a volunteer mission trip. In 2011 she came back with great experiences but also very out of shape. She discovered CrossFit in October 2011, and loved it. In July 2012, she became level 1 certified and began coaching in Los Angeles. Birkleigh is passionate about people and loves to coach and motivate. Birkleigh has also competed in various CrossFit competitions both individual and team, and likes how it keeps her humble.

Joe Nascimento was born in NY but grew up in Plantation, FL. Throughout his adolescent and teen years, Joe was always very active with recreational sports. Joe went to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for his undergraduate degree where he remained active in intramural sports, and then to the University of Miami School of Law, where he gradually saw his participation in sports and fitness dwindle. After his first year as a lawyer, Joe became tired of being out-of-shape and decided to give CrossFit a try. After quickly losing 30lbs, and getting into the best shape of his life, Joe fell in love with the community and competition aspects of CrossFit. Joe is a criminal defense attorney in Miami by day, and a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and a USA Weightlifting Sports and Performance Level 1 Coach by night. Joe has learned from some of the best CrossFit coaches in South Florida, and is passionate about motivating others and helping people better their lives through the fitness and sense of community that CrossFit offers.
